A Facebook friend shared this quote with me a couple of years ago. It is still sobering.
“Perspective: The peaceful majority is irrelevant.
“It will be worth it all when we see Jesus”. Was all the time effort and emotion wasted in light of same-sex progress throughout the country? You are part of the minority who are relevant.
Brigitte Gabriel was born into a Christian family in Beruit Lebanon, at one time one of the most beautiful cities in the near east. By the time she entered her teens the Muslim terrorist began to kill maim and destroy. For seven years they barely survived in the basement of their bombed out home. Eventually she was able to escape to America. Recently, when challenged by a “peaceful Muslim” she set the record straight. “Look throughout history. Most Germans were peaceful. Yet the Nazis drove the agenda, and as a result 60 million people died, 14 million in concentration camps. The peaceful majority were irrelevant. When you look at Russia, most Russians were peaceful as well, yet the Russians were able to kill 20 million people. The peaceful majority were irrelevant. When you look at China, most Chinese were peaceful as well, yet the Chinese were able to kill 70 million people. The peaceful majority were irrelevant. When you look at Japan prior to WWII, most Japanese were peaceful as well. Yet Japan was able to butcher it’s way across SE Asia, killing 12 million, mostly with bayonets and shovels. The peaceful majority were irrelevant. On September 11, 2001, we had 2.3 million Arab Muslims living in America. It took 19 hijackers, 19 radicals to bring America to it’s knees, destroy the World Trade Center, attack the Pentagon and kill 3000 people, mostly Americans that day. The peaceful majority were irrelevant.” The lesson is clear. If the peaceful majority do not engage the forces of evil, we become their victims, and if we survive we end up eking out our existence in the basements of our bombed out homes.
So let us on every occasion and in every place continue to engage the demonic forces, whether it be in the Church or in our great country. “This little light of mine, I’m going to let it shine”. and in so doing in our little corner we will dispel the darkness.
God bless you and the family and keep up the good fight until Jesus comes, because it will be worth it all when we see Him.”
Her book “Because They Hate” is wonderful and very informative. Read it a number of years ago.
